Commercial Roofing's Dennis Conway Elected Chairman of the Board of the National Roofing Contractors Association
Orlando, Fla. —Dennis Conway, principal and vice president of Commercial Roofers Inc., Las Vegas, has been elected the next chairman of the board of the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA). Conway will serve for the 2016-17 fiscal year. He was elected during NRCA's 129th Annual Convention held Feb. 17-19 in Orlando.
"Dennis brings a unique combination of skills and experience to his upcoming role as NRCA's chairman of the board. His background includes working for a general contractor before he entered the roofing industry, so he has a deep understanding of the entire construction process," says Bill Good, NRCA's CEO. "Dennis is a great thinker and communicator, which will make him ideally suited to take on this challenge."
Conway previously served as an NRCA's chairman of the board-elect from 2015-16; NRCA vice chairman from 1986-88, 2011-13 and 2014-15; and was a member of NRCA's board of directors from 1983-86, 2002-05 and 2013-14.
In addition, Conway has served on a number of NRCA committees, including the Alliance Board of Trustees, Contractor Management Committee, Enterprise Risk Management Task Force, Government Relations Committee, Insurance Board of Governors and the National Roofing Service Corp. Conway also is a member of the Political Insiders Council and a past board member of the National Roofing Legal Resource Center.
Conway will begin his one-year term as the highest-ranking officer of one of the oldest construction trade associations in the U.S. June 1, 2016.
