Las Vegas—The Roofing Industry Alliance for Progress has announced Narciso Alarcon, superintendent of Antis Roofing & Waterproofing, Irvine, Calif., has been awarded the Best of the Best Award. Alarcon was announced as the award winner at the National Roofing Contractors Association's (NRCA's) 130th Annual Convention held March 1-3 in Las Vegas.

The Best of the Best Award, which is co-sponsored by Professional Roofing magazine and OMG Roofing Products Inc., Agawam, Mass., is awarded each year to one of the recipients of the Alliance's Most Valuable Player (MVP) Awards program, which recognizes and honors outstanding roofing workers from various U.S. regions.

Alarcon was a 2017 MVP Award winner for community service and volunteerism, as well as other noteworthy contributions and activities.

"He shows up early and is the last one to leave the job site," said Josh Kelly, vice president and general manager of OMG Roofing Products, when announcing Alarcon as Best of the Best. "He's not only passionate about his profession, but he also is passionate about his men."

As the 2016-17 Best of the Best Award winner, Alarcon will be featured in Professional Roofing's May 2017 issue.
