Newly Released Guide Assists Roofing Professionals in Contract Negotiation

Rosemont, Ill. — The National Roofing Legal Resource Center (NRLRC) has released its Roofing Contractors Introductory Guide to Reviewing Construction Contracts, which is designed to educate and assist roofing professionals in negotiating contracts.

The rights and obligations of roofing contractors are governed by the terms of the contracts they sign. Roofing Contractors Introductory Guide to Reviewing Construction Contracts discusses terms that frequently appear in contracts they are asked to sign, and also offers suggestions on how to revise provisions that may be disadvantageous if a problem were to develop.

"We are pleased to be able to provide roofing contractors with NRLRC's newest legal publication," says Alison LaValley, NRLRC's executive director. "Whether a roofing contractor needs assistance with a bid claim, obtaining payment or reviewing a contract, NRLRC enables contractors to successfully manage and respond effectively to legal issues affecting their businesses."

The Roofing Contractors Introductory Guide to Reviewing Construction Contracts is free for all NRCA contractor members and $325 for non-members. It is available electronically on NRLRC's website at www.nrlrc.net and in NRCA's bookstore at http://www.nrca.net/store/detail/roofing-contractors-introductory-guide-to-reviewing-construction-contracts/1414.
