About

The National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) is one of the construction industry's most respected trade associations and the voice and leading authority in the roofing industry for information, education, technology and advocacy. Founded in 1886, NRCA is a nonprofit association that represents all segments of the roofing industry, including contractors; manufacturers; distributors; architects; consultants; engineers; building owners; and city, state and government agencies. NRCA's mission is to inform and assist the roofing industry, act as its principal advocate and help members in serving their customers. NRCA continually strives to enhance every aspect of the roofing industry.

NRCA has more than 4,000 members from all 50 states and 53 countries and is affiliated with 97 local, state, regional and international roofing contractor associations. NRCA contractor members range in size from companies with less than $1 million in annual sales volumes (40 percent of the current membership) to large, commercial contractors with annual sales volumes of more than $20 million. More than half perform both residential and commercial roofing work, and more than one-third have been in business for more than a quarter of a century.

Leadership

NRCA operates with a board of directors and Executive Committee officers. Nominations for NRCA officers and directors are received from individual members and local, state and regional roofing contractor associations affiliated with NRCA. Terms begin June 1 to coincide with NRCA's fiscal year, and elections are held annually during NRCA's convention and exhibit.



NRCA staff

NRCA's staff is lead by NRCA Executive Vice President Bill Good. Associate executive directors manage the various departments of NRCA staff.

NRCA awards

NRCA sponsors various awards programs to recognize it members for excellence. Most award winnners are announced each year during an awards program at NRCA's annual convention. Winners are recognized on NRCA's webiste and in Professional Roofing magazine, NRCA's official publication.


International resources

NRCA's international members can take advantage of various resources and information. In addition, NRCA provides various opportunities worldwide for industry peers to share information and stay informed about industry news and events occurring throughout the world.

China Roofing & Waterproofing 2013 will be held Aug. 28-30 in Beijing.

ROOF INDIA 2013 will be held May 24–26 in Mumbai, India.



Advertising

NRCA offers multiple advertising opportunities through its website, NRCA E-News, a weekly electronic newsletter, and Professional Roofing magazine, NRCA's official monthly publication. These opportunities include display and classified advertising, banners, links and online listing enhancements.


Charity affiliations

NRCA's Community Service and Disaster Relief Committee oversees the association's affiliation with several charitable organizations. Through these organizations, NRCA members volunteer their time and resources to help those in need.
