Honor code

To maintain respect for fellow classmates, faculty and NRCA staff, and to honor the significant commitment you and your company have made to attend FEI, this honor code has been established and approved by the FEI Committee and FEI Alumni.

  1. I will respect my fellow students by keeping all electronic devices turned off during class. This includes but is not limited to cell phones, laptops and electronic notepads. Classes last approximately 90 minutes and include breaks for necessary calling or emailing. I understand, however, that I am encouraged to use break time to socialize and network with my classmates. FEI is my time to work on my business while allowing my staff to handle business at home.
  2. I understand attendance is taken at each class and event for the purpose of eligibility for graduation. If any class or event is missed, for any reason, the FEI Committee will discuss with me my makeup requirements, including additional assignments or retaking missed classes.
  3. I understand FEI is only as strong as the shared contribution of everyone's experiences. I will strive to be an active participant in class and outside of class.
  4. I will work hard to find at least one thing per session I can apply to my business and then will share it with my classmates while in class or at a social event.

Cancellation/refund policy

  1. In the event an applicant or existing student cancels more than 30 days from the start of class of any given year, NRCA shall provide a full refund.
  2. In the event an applicant or existing student cancels less than 30 days from the start of class of any given year, there will be a $500 cancellation fee.
  3. If a student fails to show up to any class on any given year, a refund will not be provided; however, staff will work with the student to make up the session(s) missed within the next appropriate cycle. Additional fees may apply to attend the make-up session(s).

Student conduct and indemnity agreement

Students are expected and required to conduct themselves professionally and responsibly while participating in the FEI program. Improper conduct, including but not limited to acts of violence, abusive or threatening language, and unlawful possession of controlled substances, may be grounds for immediate and permanent removal from the program. Any decisions regarding removal shall be at the sole discretion of the FEI committee and will be final.

Sponsors are there to mentor, monitor and assist students; however, a student is solely responsible for his or her own actions. As consideration for being approved to participate in the program, students agree they are solely responsible for and shall indemnify, defend and protect their sponsors and NRCA (including its directors, officers, agents, employees, FEI committee members and FEI program instructors) against and hold each of them harmless from any and all claims, suits, demands, losses or expenses, including attorneys fees, caused by, in whole or in part, a student’s acts or omissions while a participant in the FEI program. The foregoing indemnity shall include but is not limited to claims pertaining to property damage, personal injury and/or death, including damage to property owned by the student and injuries to or death of the student.
