Member services and development

As part of an effort to create more tangible member benefits, NRCA introduced three medical and lifestyle affinity programs to provide members and their employees with timely, relevant and meaningful benefits, including:
  • Telemedicine—Allows members and their employees 24/7 access to a licensed and board-certified physician in their state. By simply contacting the provider, members are connected to a physician via phone, smartphone or computer to diagnose the symptoms and prescribe a treatment regimen, including prescriptions, while avoiding what could be a time-consuming, costly office visit.
  • Prescription Drug Card—Subscribers save 10-85 percent on most prescriptions at more than 50,000 pharmacies by presenting a card at the pharmacy of their choice. Family members also are included.
  • Disability Advocacy Service—An economic alternative to long-term disability insurance, it provides income through Social Security disability insurance and health coverage through Medicare.
Ongoing partnerships with FedEx, Staples, Avis, Emergent Safety Supply, Lenovo, HomeAdvisor, Hertz, Shell Oil, Yellow Transportation, Electronic Data Payment Systems, Firestone Partners Plus Auto Care Plan, Choice Hotels, Dataforma, HomeAdvisor, Labor Sync and others provided members with additional savings on an array of services.

NRCA also provided three Industry Issue Updates to members, including Drones in the Roofing Industry, New Reporting Requirements and Heat Stress.

For the first time in 10 years, NRCA collected survey data about annual salaries and bonuses of various employees, benefits roofing companies are providing, and whom they are covering, among other information. The final Wage and Benefit Survey report will help contractors make several important business decisions with greater certainty.
