The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) will offer a free webinar, New Insights into the Opioid Crisis and Work: Important Information for Workers and Employers, Nov. 6 at noon CST. The presentation is part of NIOSH's Total Worker Health Webinar Series and will focus on new research regarding the intersection of work and the opioid crisis in the U.S.
The webinar will explore critical insights into potential work-related antecedents and risk factors for opioid misuse; the latest data for opioid overdose by industry and occupation; and primary, secondary and tertiary prevention methods and interventions. It also will introduce the NIOSH Response to the Opioid Crisis framework meant to address the challenges facing U.S. workers and workplaces related to opioids.
