Late in 2016, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) issued a final rule updating its fall-protection
requirements, which took effect Jan. 17. Provisions have been made in the rule for the use of guardrails, personal
fall-arrest systems and travel-restraint systems, as well as allowing for worker fall protection using a system similar
to the warning-line system used for low-slope roofing work under OSHA's construction rules. During this one-hour
