NRCA members received industry news during the year through e-newsletters, NRCA's website, Professional Roofing magazine, Professional Roofing's website and media promotions, among other resources.

Regarding its online innovations, NRCA E-News and NRCA SmartBrief continue to offer more in-depth information about NRCA and its members and increased their subscription bases to 9,300 subscribers and 7,844 subscribers, respectively. NRCA Insider continued to offer its online features, including quarterly reports from the NRCA president and videos such as "A word from Bill" and "NRCA Personalities." The For Members Only newsletter continued to offer important member news, and the 10@10 newsletter provided information about current legislative issues.

NRCA's website includes more than 30,000 pages of information and averaged 150,000 user sessions per month—user sessions averaged about 20 minutes. Forty percent of visitors to NRCA's website were consumers. Professional Roofing's website averaged 60,000 users per month.

With the release of The NRCA Roofing Manual: Architectural Metal Flashing, Condensation Control and Reroofing—2010, The NRCA Roofing Manual four-volume series now is complete. During its first six months of sales, the four-volume set sold 250 copies. As of May 31, The NRCA Roofing Manual replaced The NRCA Roofing and Waterproofing Manual, Fifth Edition.

Other successful bookstore additions this year included selling 374 copies of Guidelines for Roof-mounted Photovoltaic System Installation, 109 copies of A Roofing Professional's Guide to LEED— and 2,100 copies of the newly redesigned F.Y.I.—Buying a Roof and Getting Your Money's Worth. The marketing department also continued to sell popular publications, including 228 hard copies of The NRCA Waterproofing Manual, 3,458 English and Spanish versions of the NRCA Pocket Guide to Safety and 219 copies of The NRCA Safety Manual, Second Edition.

Additionally, NRCA launched NRCA On-Demand, an annual subscription service that allows NRCA members and their employees to view valuable NRCA publications electronically, purchase hard copies of NRCA products, and register for NRCA University online programs and live educational seminars through one convenient, annual service.
