RUFF ROOFERS INC. JOINS THE ROOFING INDUSTRY ALLIANCE FOR PROGRESS Rosemont, Ill.—Ruff Roofers Inc., Baltimore, has joined The Roofing Industry Alliance for Progress. The alliance was established in 1996 within the National Roofing Foundation (NRF), a separate but related educational and research organization of the National Roofing Contractors Association, to address critical industry issues. The alliance is open to all roofing contractors and industry partners who are interested in ensuring NRF serves as a highly focused resource for the roofing industry and the industry's customers. Alliance members provide significant contributions to an endowment fund to support their mission and meet twice yearly to analyze, select, recommend and provide oversight for projects addressing critical industry issues. Currently, the alliance's endowment fund totals more than $10 million and has funded numerous work force-related programs, a study of roof system longevity and replacement activity, as well as others. The alliance includes 97 contractors, 22 manufacturers of roofing materials and seven suppliers.
