CHADWICK TECHNOLOGY WINS NRCA GOLD CIRCLE AWARD


Orlando, Fla.—During the National Roofing Contractors Association's (NRCA's) 118th Annual Convention held Feb. 14-18, Chadwick Technology Pty. Ltd., Forestville, Australia, won NRCA's Gold Circle Award for Innovative Solutions: New Construction.

Chadwick Technology received the award for installing a roof system and sun-shading system on the Second Bangkok International Airport. Chadwick Technology's Thailand company, Chadwick Airport Co. Ltd., designed, tested, fabricated, transported and installed the systems on a 970,000-square-foot (90000-m²) area. A 108,000 square-foot (10000-m²) factory was built on-site for steel fabrication, roof system assembly, spray painting, skylight assembly, louver fabrication and cladding. Total labor force was more than 400 people, and more than 200 people were involved with on-site installation, installing more than 23,019 feet (7000 m) of stainless-steel gutters and pre-assembled roof section that were approximately 30 feet by 26 feet (9 m by 8 m) and weighing about 4.9 tons (4.4 Mg) per unit.

The Gold Circle Awards program annually honors NRCA members and affiliate organizations from around the world. Recipients are recognized by their peers for significant contributions to the roofing industry in one of four categories: workmanship, innovation, service to the community and service to the industry.
