MASON DIXON BUILDING MAINTENANCE WINS NRCA GOLD CIRCLE AWARD
Orlando, Fla.During the National Roofing Contractors Association's (NRCA's)
118th Annual Convention held Feb. 14-18, Mason Dixon Building Maintenance, Stewartstown,
Pa., won NRCA's Gold Circle Award for Innovative Solutions: Reroofing.
Mason Dixon Building Maintenance received the award for reroofing the Sheppard Pratt
Hospital. The company needed to repair a built-up roof system, chimneys, flashing,
towers, mansard roofs, gutters and downspouts though the original slate was in good
shape. It used its Slate Savers system for the entire roof system to preserve and
protect the historic roof. The roofing workers injected the environmentally friendly
Slate Savers grout into the joints between the slate tiles to prevent slate fallout.
Mason Dixon Building Maintenance used liquid metal to repair valleys and chimney
filler and masonry preservative to restore the chimneys.
The Gold Circle Awards program annually honors NRCA members and affiliate organizations
from around the world. Recipients are recognized by their peers for significant
contributions to the roofing industry in one of four categories: workmanship, innovation,
service to the community and service to the industry.
