Orlando, Fla.—Charles Bechtel, president of Harold J. Becker Co. Inc., Dayton, Ohio, is the 58th recipient of the National Roofing Contractors Association's (NRCA's) J.A. Piper Award.

Presented each year at NRCA's annual convention and exhibit, the J.A. Piper Award recognizes roofing professionals who have devoted constant, outstanding service to the association and roofing industry.

He has been involved in leadership positions in a number of trade and professional organizations. He has served as president of the Ohio Roofing Contractors Association, as well as the Sheet Metal & Roofing Contractors Association of the Miami Valley, Ohio.
