WAGNER ROOFING CO. WINS NRCA GOLD CIRCLE AWARD

Orlando, Fla.—During the National Roofing Contractors Association's (NRCA's) 118th Annual Convention held Feb. 14-18, Wagner Roofing Co., Hyattsville, Md., won NRCA's Gold Circle Award for Workmanship: Steep-slope.

Wagner Roofing earned the award for restoring the Robert F. Kennedy Justice Center in downtown Washington, D.C. The company removed, repaired and replaced about 225 large antefixae, as well as 156 smaller antefixae. The company removed and replaced 51,000 square feet (4738 m²) of cast pavers and 72,000 square feet (6689 m²) of clay roofing tile covers. Wagner Roofing's blend of new technology with traditional craftsmanship led to the preservation of the historical building's ornamentation.

The Gold Circle Awards program annually honors NRCA members and affiliate organizations from around the world. Recipients are recognized by their peers for significant contributions to the roofing industry in one of four categories: workmanship, innovation, service to the community and service to the industry.
