NRCA releases new products

NRCA RELEASES NEW PRODUCTS Rosemont, Ill.—The National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) has released a variety of new products. The NRCA Waterproofing Manual provides current information about design and installation of waterproofing assemblies. The manual, which complements The NRCA Roofing and Waterproofing Manual, Fifth Edition, includes information about waterstops; proper design; flashings; slope and drainage; warranties and more. The NRCA Waterproofing Manual is available for $75 to NRCA members and $150 to nonmembers. The manual also is available on CD-ROM for $95 to members and $175 to nonmembers and contains an AutoCAD version of the details. The EnergyWise Roof Calculator is a software application that allows users to construct virtual roof assemblies to evaluate thermal efficiency and estimate energy costs. It also offers minimum thermal insulation requirements. The EnergyWise Roof Calculator is available for $50 to NRCA members and $95 to nonmembers. The 2005-06 NRCA Steep-slope Roofing Materials Guide is a 248-page guide that contains information about asphalt, tile, slate, wood and other steep-slope roofing materials. Compiled from information provided by 46 manufacturers and 425 steep-slope products, it also includes detailed descriptions; ASTM International test results and building code approvals; manufacturer-reported wind and fire ratings; and comparative data. The 2005-06 NRCA Steep-slope Roofing Materials Guide is available for $95 to NRCA members and $175 to nonmembers. Employment Law: A Legal Guide for Roofing Contractors provides an overview of the federal laws most applicable to your business, as well as considerations for managing your business as the law requires. The guide includes information about employment relationships, such as immigration issues, the hiring process, union issues and performance evaluations. Employment Law: A Legal Guide for Roofing Contractors is available for $150 to NRCA members and $295 to nonmembers. NRCA ProWriter is a software program for writing customized proposals that offers more than 16 preformatted proposals. The program includes The NRCA Roofing and Waterproofing Manual, Fifth Edition, and the NRCA Energy Efficiency Calculator, and prepares proposals with regard to repairs, replacements, maintenance programs and more. It also offers eight hours of technical support. NRCA ProWriter is available for $1,250 to NRCA members and $1,950 to nonmembers. Insurance Guide for the Professional Roofing Contractor, Second Edition, is a comprehensive updated guide for evaluating your insurance needs, establishing programs and monitoring their effectiveness. You will learn more about types of insurance coverage which can help you communicate with your insurance agent. Insurance Guide for the Professional Roofing Contractor, Second Edition is available for $125 to NRCA members and $250 to nonmembers. The National Roofing Legal Resource Center (NRLRC) is offering CDs of its 2004 seminar, Roofing Issues: Decks to Dockets. The CDs include information about legal, technical, safety, insurance and contractual issues affecting your business. CDs can be purchased separately or as a set. The NRLRC 2004 Annual Seminar CD Series is available for $150 to NRLRC members and $225 to nonmembers, and individual CDs are available for $20 to NRLRC members and $30 to nonmembers. The NRCA Roofing Safety Resource CD is a CD-ROM based on the NRCA Safety Manual that allows a user to develop safety programs, access resource and training materials and manage safety-related issues. Safety programs can be tailored to specific roofing projects, and users have access to NRCA Toolbox Talks I and II, NRCA's Pocket Guide to Safety and job-hazard assessment checklists. The NRCA Roofing Safety Resource CD is available for $175 to members and $350 to nonmembers.
