CLARK'S QUALITY ROOFING WINS GOLD CIRCLE AWARD

Las Vegas—During the National Roofing Contractors Association's (NRCA's) 119th Annual Convention held Feb. 13-16, Clark's Quality Roofing, Murray, Utah, won NRCA's Gold Circle Award for innovative solutions: reroofing.

Clark's Quality Roofing earned the award for developing alternative solutions that allowed it to complete a reroofing project for The Shops at Arizona Center in Phoenix. The building faced roof system replacement at a projected cost of $1 million because of the original intricate metal roof system design and waterproofing of the skylights. There were problems with the interior gutters, and the original skylight installation prevented a traditional re-cover; removal and replacement of the existing skylights was projected as necessary. Clark's Quality Roofing's alternative solutions made it possible to re-cover the roof system and use the existing skylights, which saved the owner more than $700,000, caused limited disruption to the patrons on the busy property and turned a six-month project into a two-month project. Work was completed ahead of schedule and significantly under budget, as well.

The Gold Circle Awards program annually honors NRCA members and affiliate organizations from around the world. Recipients are recognized by their peers for significant contributions to the roofing industry in one of five categories: workmanship, innovation, service to the community, service to the industry and safety.
