KEYSTONE ROOFING INC. WINS GOLD CIRCLE AWARD
Las VegasDuring the National Roofing Contractors Association's (NRCA's) 119th Annual Convention held Feb. 13-16, Keystone Roofing Inc., Oceanside, Calif., won NRCA's Gold Circle Award for innovative solutions: new construction.
Keystone Roofing earned the award for fabricating and installing a standing-seam metal roof system on the 65,000-square-foot (6039-m²) Semper Fit Field House at the U.S. Marine Corps base in Camp Pendleton, Calif. The building features a barrel roof design over its main gymnasium area flanked by adjacent curved radius wings. The architecture is enhanced by 650 squares (5850 m²) of Custom-Bilt Metal's CB-150 T-panel standing-seam roofing material. The field house posed several challenges, including an unusual curved radius design, intricate seam configurations and panel lengths up to 160 feet (49 m). Keystone Roofing successfully completed the assignment in seven months.
The Gold Circle Awards program annually honors NRCA members and affiliate organizations from around the world. Recipients are recognized by their peers for significant contributions to the roofing industry in one of five categories: workmanship, innovation, service to the community, service to the industry and safety.
