NRCA ANNOUNCES CHARLIE RAYMOND AWARD WINNERS

Las Vegas—During the National Roofing Contractors Association's (NRCA's) 120th Annual Convention March 4-8, NRCA presented its Charlie Raymond Award to GAF Materials Corp., Wayne, N.J., and NRCA President Mark Gaulin, president of Magco Inc., Jessup, Md., a Tecta America company.

The Charlie Raymond Award is the most prestigious membership recruitment award NRCA bestows. The award is given to honor the manufacturer and individual who have recruited the most new NRCA members during the calendar year. During the past year, GAF Materials recruited 50 new members and Mark Gaulin recruited two new members.

The Charlie Raymond Award is named for former NRCA President and J.A. Piper Award winner Charlie Raymond, who first became chairman of NRCA's Membership Committee when the association had only 328 members and is responsible for recruiting many more. Raymond recruited the 1,000th member for NRCA in 1973.
