NRCA PUTS KEY CONSTRUCTION DETAILS ON BUILDSITE

Rosemont, Ill.—The National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) has partnered with BuildSite to make its most important construction details available to BuildSite's audience of construction contractors and their suppliers.

BuildSite will now include popular roof system construction details found in The NRCA Roofing Manual: Membrane Roof Systems, as well as frequently accessed waterproofing details found in The NRCA Waterproofing Manual, 2005 Edition. BuildSite will present the individual details as "category documents"—users will see them in the context of searches for products in BuildSite’s waterproofing and roofing categories, including Sheet Waterproofing, Bentonite Waterproofing, Metal Roofing, Built-Up, Membrane and Coated Foamed categories.

"Designers and contractors have long considered NRCA as the definitive source for roofing and waterproofing details," comments Ned Trainor, president of BuildSite. "Our customers will be delighted to easily access them for submittals and job-site reference."

NRCA Executive Vice President Bill Good says: "NRCA is delighted BuildSite has chosen to incorporate NRCA's most frequently used details in its products. Our goal, of course, is to see the details widely used in the industry, and BuildSite's initiative supports that goal."

Established in 1886, NRCA is one of the construction industry's oldest trade associations and the voice of professional roofing contractors worldwide. It is an association of roofing, roof deck, and waterproofing contractors; industry-related associate members, including manufacturers, distributors, architects, consultants, engineers, and city, state, and government agencies; and international members. NRCA has more than 4,600 members from all 50 states and 54 countries and is affiliated with 105 local, state, regional and international roofing contractor associations.

BuildSite, through www.buildsite.com, provides a single source of product, technical and procurement information for commercial, residential and infrastructure construction along with software tools for messaging and construction submittals. The company focuses on the information needs of contractors and their suppliers. It also reaches a broader audience of professionals, including architects, consultants, engineers and facility managers. The BuildSite database consists of more than 18,000 products from more than 250 manufacturers.
