NRCA University | Free safety training | Fall-protection training program
It is an employer's responsibility to comply with OSHA safety standards that apply to his or her workplace. This includes ensuring employees have access to required safety equipment and are trained to use this equipment properly. This program provides the information you need to know about fall protection to comply with OSHA's federal standards for low- and steep-slope roofing.
After completing the fall-protection training your workers will:
- Understand the importance of safe work practices
- Realize the benefits of using required fall-protection equipment
- Identify fall-protection equipment commonly used in the roofing industry
- Know the proper fall-protection requirements for low- and steep-slope roofing
- Recognize and avoid fall hazards on low- and steep-slope roofing project job sites
- Understand the importance of having rescue and self-rescue equipment on the job site
