The Industry | Roofing industry careers
Consider a career in roofingit offers more than you may realize.
Think about the benefits a roofing career can offer. There are several benefits that shouldn't be overlooked. For example, roofing workers spend most of their time working outdoors, not behind a desk. Roofing work also offers variety; every project is different. In fact, some roofing companies perform work in several states, which offers frequent scenery changes and travel opportunities.

Current economic and labor market conditions have put many roofing contractors in a bind-there aren't enough workers available to man all the jobs roofing contractors are asked to perform. According to Dun and Bradstreet, Short Hills, N.J., in 2000, the roofing industry, which is composed of more than 30,000 roofing contracting firms, experienced sales of $30.18 billion in 2001 and is projected to continue growing. Because 75 percent of roofing work is repair or reroofing rather than new construction, demand for roofing services is less vulnerable to downturns in the economy than other construction trades.
"The roofing industry offers unlimited possibilities to stretch your skills and potential to advance and meet your ambition."
