Army veteran speaks at Saratoga Roofing rally

On Jan. 14, Saratoga Roofing & Construction, Oklahoma City, Okla., kicked off 2012 with a company-wide rally for its employees. Retired U.S. Army Major Edward Pulido spoke to the group, inspiring them with his story of courage, teamwork and the ability to overcome obstacles.

Pulido, senior vice president of development for the Folds of Honor Foundation, works to ensure U.S. veterans are never forgotten. He has spoken to more than 400 audiences during the past few years, inspiring listeners to embrace change and overcome challenges.

Pulido has overcome many major changes during his life. He lost his leg while serving his second deployment in Iraq, which forced him to change his career goals, as well as re-evaluate his priorities.

During the 2012 Saratoga Roofing & Construction kick-off conference, Pulido spoke about teamwork—specifically, how his team pulled together to ensure his safety after striking an IED. He also addressed the importance of commitment, facing challenges and having a passion to be the best. His words inspired the Saratoga Roofing & Construction team to rally around the tremendous growth and changes that lie ahead.
