Revere Copper Products purchases Follansbee Steel assets
Revere Copper Products Inc., Rome, N.Y., has signed an agreement with an entity of the Louis Berkman Co., Steubenville, Ohio, to purchase the assets of Follansbee Steel, Follansbee, W.Va. Closing on the agreement is scheduled for June 29.
Revere Copper Products will move, install and operate the equipment in Rome, N.Y. The relocation is expected to take six months with an anticipated operational date of December 2012.
Revere Copper Products and Follansbee Steel have had a partnership producing Revere Copper Products' FreedomGray Architectural Products using Follansbee Steel's patented tin-zinc coating. Through the agreement, Revere Copper Products now also will be providing the tin-zinc coated stainless product TCS II.
