The Alliance conducts the Melvin Kruger Endowed Scholarship sweepstakes

The Roofing Industry Alliance for Progress is conducting a sweepstakes to win a 2009 BMW 128i two-door convertible. The sweepstakes winner will be announced Feb. 4, 2009, during NRCA's Cocktail and Awards Reception, which is part of NRCA's 122nd Annual Convention Feb. 1-5, 2009, in Las Vegas.

The sweepstakes will generate funds for the Melvin Kruger Endowed Scholarship Program, which provides scholarships to employees, immediate family members of employees or immediate family members of NRCA members. Employees and their family members who plan to pursue postsecondary education in college and vocational programs are eligible for the merit-based scholarships. Scholarship recipients receive funding for up to four years of full-time study at any accredited postsecondary institution of the student's choice.

Anyone can purchase a sweepstakes ticket—purchasers do not need to be Alliance or NRCA members. One entry per person is allowed; however, tickets can be purchased by one individual for others. The donation price is $200 per ticket, and a maximum of 500 tickets will be sold. Purchases can be made using cash, credit cards or personal checks made out to The Roofing Industry Alliance for Progress. The winner does not need to be present during the drawing.

Tickets will be available at the Alliance booth (No. 3240) until 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2009, during the 2009 International Roofing Expo® (IRE), which is being held in conjunction with NRCA's 122nd Annual Convention. The 2009 BMW 128i will be on display during the IRE at NRCA’s booth (No. 3237), which is directly across from the Alliance's booth.
