Insurance
Every roofing contractor knows the importance of insuring his or her business and
workers; however, finding the right insurance can be difficult. To assist contractors,
NRCA offers the following information about its endorsed insurance programs.
- For 43 years, NRCA has worked with Chicago-based CNA Insurance
Cos. to provide insurance for roofing contractors. CNA understands the roofing
business, and the NRCA/CNA program includes several critical coverages that are
not readily offered by other carriers.
- CNA with Victor O. Schinnerer, its 55 year Managing General Underwriter partner,
is now offering Artisan Contractors Errors & Omissions and Pollution coverage. This
policy was designed to address a contractor's true exposures including claims alleging
faulty workmanship, design errors or omissions, and the use of defective materials
or products.
- Construction Insurance Solutions (CIS) and NRCA have designed
a business insurance program for residential and commercial roofing contractors
who are finding it difficult to obtain adequate insurance to cover their everyday
operations.
- Norman-Spencer Int'l Inc. offers NRCA members an insurance solution for risk management,
risk transfer and protectionP.ROOFProfessional Roofing
Liability Insurance. This program covers the liabilities that commercial
general liability insurance may not.
In addition, roofing contractors need health insurance as an effective employee-retention
tool. Although finding a health insurance program that is affordable may seem daunting,
NRCA has found a way to make it easier.
- NRCA sponsors the NRCA National Health Care Program, a members-only
captive health care benefits program utilizing the CIGNA provider network. This
program is for organizations of all sizes and offers NRCA members coverage options
and extremely competitive rates.
