NRCA's Project Pinpoint is a survey-derived database intended to compile useful information regarding the use and performance of roof systems used in the United States.

Project Pinpoint originally was developed in 1974 to compile data regarding the performances of built-up membrane roof systems. During the early 1980s, Project Pinpoint was expanded to include polymer-modified bitumen membrane systems and single-ply membrane systems. In 2001, steep-slope roof systems, such as asphalt shingles, tiles, metal panels, were included into Project Pinpoint.

Periodically, NRCA surveys its contractor members to obtain data for inclusion in Project Pinpoint. Now, Project Pinpoint survey information can be submitted online.
