The 2014 International Roofing Expo® (IRE) begins today at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.
Registration booths will be open from 6:45 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the convention center. Activities will begin at 7:45 a.m.
with Hanley Wood's educational conferences followed by the IRE keynote with Frank Abagnale at 9:45 a.m. The exhibit
hall will open at 11 a.m., and the welcome party will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at LIGHT Nightclub at Mandalay Bay
Resort & Casino.
Today's activities also include NRCA's International Relations Committee meeting at 8 a.m.; the ROOFPAC silent auction
from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at ROOFPAC's booth, No. 724; NRCA's Roofing Council meeting at 1 p.m.; and the National Roofing
Legal Resource Center (NRLRC) board meeting at 1:30 p.m. Each of these events will be held at the Mandalay Bay
The NRCA member lounge will be open today from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.
NRLRC's luncheon program will take place at 11 a.m. During the program, industry experts will share their techniques,
insights and experiences when seeking to negotiate more equitable construction contracts, as well as educate you about
the latest technical and legal issues in the field. The program will be held at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center and
includes lunch. The Future Executives Institute (FEI) 6 class will be in session from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the
Mandalay Bay Convention Center, and NRCA will host an FEI information session and alumni reception at 4:30 p.m., also
at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center. In addition, NRCA's Former Presidents Dinner will be held at Seafood, Prime
Steak & Stone Crab from 6 to 9 p.m.
The winners of ROOFPAC's golf tournament, which was held Feb. 25 during NRCA's 127th Annual Convention in Las Vegas.
Yesterday afternoon, participants played in ROOFPAC's golf tournament at Angel Park Golf Course. The winners were Brian
Dembowski, Don Barris, Kyle Eresman and Courtney Keymer. Second place was Rick Jenkins, Dan Piche, John Kalkreuth and
Jan Havmoeller. Third place went to Chris Gory, Mike Griffin, Joe Hayes and Gavin Parsons. Chris Gory won closest to
the pin. Longest drive wen to Courtney Keymer.
The golf tournament was held to raise money for ROOFPAC and support pro-business candidates.
