The challenge: Offer your roofing resources to help someone in need. Then, ask the person you helped to pay it forward.
NRCA is actively involved with philanthropic work, and it is one of the more popular associations to turn to for help because our member volunteers can provide a basic need—shelter. But it takes time to find a volunteer who is located near the area of a person seeking help.
As a result, in 2010, NRCA's Community Service Committee created a new program within the roofing community to match those in need with those who can help. The first project completed as a result of the program helped three autistic sisters in Nutley, N.J.
If you are willing to help someone in your area when the need arises, simply provide NRCA with your contact information. Adding your company name to the list does not obligate you to provide labor or supply materials, but when NRCA learns of someone needing help in your area, we'll supply you with the project information, and you decide whether you can help.
NRCA's Pay It Forward program enables you to give back to your community. In return for helping someone, ask him or her to pay it forward by helping another person in need. With your act of kindness, you can truly make the world a better place.
