Michael Beldon, former president of Beldon Roofing Co., San Antonio
Michael Beldon, former president of Beldon Roofing Co., San Antonio, is the 57th
recipient of NRCA's J.A. Piper Award.
Beldon was president of NRCA in 1987 and has served in a variety of capacities at
NRCA, including a member of the board of directors, senior vice president, and chairman
of such committees as the Insurance Board of Governors and Affiliate Relations Committee.
He has been involved in leadership positions in a number of trade and professional
organizations. He has served on the advisory councils of four different roofing
materials manufacturers and has also served as chairman of the Associated General
Contractors Associate Advisory Council in his community. In 1982-83, he served as
president of St. Luke's Lutheran Hospital, San Antonio, and he was chosen as chairman
of the Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce in 1994. Beldon also was elected
chairman of the Edwards Aquifier Authority in 1995, and his company was selected
as the Texas Family Business of the Year by the Institute for Family Business at
Baylor University in 2000.
