    NRCA's Web site, www.nrca.net, contains more than 30,000 pages of information, including an online directory of members searchable by geographical radius. As an NRCA member, you receive a free com­pany listing in NRCA's online Membership Directory and Find a Contractor section, as well as access to the NRCA Buyers Guide, a resource for contractors that includes roofing products, equipment and services. In addition, you'll have access to the Web site's Members Only section, which features late-breaking news, market information, a public relations guide, a discussion forum, Ask NRCA, special reports, staff resources and other valuable information.     Professional Roofing magazine

    NRCA's monthly publication is the industry's leading magazine. Each issue provides you with the most accurate, timely and objective information in the roofing industry. Articles from Professional Roofing also are available at www.professionalroofing.net and include "Web exclusives" that offer additional editorial and images related to the articles. You also have access to editorial indices and a search function to give you access to information you need about any industry topic.     Committee Participation

    As a member, you have the opportunity to join a variety of NRCA committees. Each committee meets twice per year to focus on a variety of current issues, as well as outline the direction of the association, its resources and the goals to be achieved for the upcoming year.

Technical assistance

Members have priority access to NRCA's technical staff to answer questions and troubleshoot. You also receive technical bulletins, research updates and special reports addressing NRCA's most current findings about roof system performance, materials and application techniques. NRCA maintains a database of technical information (e.g., magazine articles, research reports) that covers a wide variety of roofing-related topics. This information is cataloged by title, author and keyword to enable you to quickly find the information you need.


International Roofing Expo and NRCA's Annual Convention

This four-day event is the largest gathering of the roofing industry in North America, attracting more than 9,500 roofing professionals worldwide. You benefit from dynamic educational sessions, a trade show with more than 400 exhibiting companies, 1,100 booths and featured events that include top-name speakers. Members receive substantial discounts on registration and exhibit space. Future convention locations include:

Representation in Washington, D.C.

NRCA members continue to provide NRCA with a stronger voice in Congress and regulatory agencies. NRCA takes major responsibility for representing the roofing industry before the U.S. Congress and works closely with officials from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Department of Transportation, Environmental Protection Agency and other government agencies. NRCA lobbies heavily for fair and reduced regulatory practices and provides you with information and programs to help you comply with government regulations applicable to your business. In addition, ROOFPAC, NRCA's federally registered political action committee, supports pro-business candidates for the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives. Current lobbying efforts include:

NRCA logo

NRCA members are identified as being the roofing industry's elite. You receive camera-ready artwork of the NRCA logo for use on letterhead, proposals, advertisements, etc. NRCA members also can download the NRCA logo from the Web site's Members Only/services section. Also available are NRCA foil labels for use on envelopes, proposals, etc.


Job leads

As an NRCA member, you receive job leads in two ways:
  1. www.nrca.net: More than 40,000 consumers search NRCA's Web site each month looking for roofing professionals in their areas. NRCA promotes to consumers the importance of selecting quality materials and professional roofing contractors. Consumers can search for contractors within a 10-, 25-, 50- and 100-mile geographic radius. NRCA provides your company a complimentary listing and hyperlink to its Web site. You also have the opportunity to enhance your company's Web site listing for a modest annual fee.

  2. (800) USA-ROOF: NRCA's contractor referral network is promoted by NRCA nationwide and accessed by more than 8,000 consumers each year who are searching for professional roofing contractors in their areas.

NRCA also will customize a training program tailored to your specific needs that can be held at your company. Insurance and retirement programs

NRCA works with leading insurance and retirement program companies, allowing NRCA to offer you the best programs available anywhere. These include:
  • NRCA-sponsored CNA Roofing Contractor Business Insurance Program: This program is designed specifically for commercial roofing contractors and offers property, liability, auto, workers' compensation, inland marine, business interruption, umbrella and crime coverages. In addition, the NRCA/CNA program offers coverages not routinely offered by other insurance carriers, such as pollution liability and extended contractual liability. Note: Participation in this program is subject to strict underwriting guidelines.

  • Insurance Program for Residential Roofing Contractors: NRCA and Construction Insurance Solutions (CIS) give you a new underwriting facility offering general liability and umbrella insurance coverages to contractors who have more than incidental residential construction operations. The program was developed with the support of NRCA as a response to restrictions on residential exposures in the standard lines of commercial insurance. The insurance carrier for the CIS program has an A+++ rating and will offer coverage nationwide with some restrictions and limits.

  • Health Insurance Program for Roofing Contractors: This program is designed to meet the varying needs of NRCA members and offers major medical insurance, life insurance, and optional disability and dental coverage and is available through Mass Marketing Insurance Consultants (MMIC) Inc., Orland Park, Ill. MMIC offers a wide variety of benefits and will create a customized insurance program to provide the broadest coverage at the best possible price.

  • The NRCA Retirement Program: NRCA's plan enables members to provide retirement benefits for themselves and their employees. The program provides maximum flexibility with a package of legal, administrative and investment management services at a cost that may be significantly less than an individually managed plan.


Recognition and networking

NRCA's online membership directory is like a "Who's Who" in the roofing industry. Members' contact information is prominently displayed to make it easy to find fellow contractor and associate members. You also receive a NRCA membership certificate and plaque to display in your office.
