JAMES MYERS CO. WINS NRCA GOLD CIRCLE AWARD

Orlando, Fla.—During the National Roofing Contractors Association's (NRCA's) 118th Annual Convention held Feb. 14-18, James Myers Co., Beltsville, Md., won NRCA's Gold Circle Award for Innovative Solutions: Reroofing.

James Myers Co. received the award for reroofing the Murray Building Storefront. An architect produced drawings of the historic building based on photographs from the early 1900s, and James Myers Co. began fabrication in its sheet-metal shop five months before installation. Each piece of custom-made sheet metal had its own dimensions, and fasteners were concealed. James Myers Co.'s fabrication and installation included radius flat-seam copper roof systems; straight and radius cornice and fascia; hanging pendant frames and ornamental inserts; curved Corinthian columns with base and capitals; pilasters; and an ornamental shell and eagle.

The Gold Circle Awards program annually honors NRCA members and affiliate organizations from around the world. Recipients are recognized by their peers for significant contributions to the roofing industry in one of four categories: workmanship, innovation, service to the community and service to the industry.
