DENCHFIELD ROOFING CORP. WINS GOLD CIRCLE AWARD
Las VegasDuring the National Roofing Contractors Association's (NRCA's) 119th
Annual Convention held Feb. 13-16, Denchfield Roofing Corp., Silver Spring, Md.,
won NRCA's Gold Circle Award for service to the community.
Denchfield Roofing earned the award for providing a new roof system, free of charge,
for Shirley's Place, Capitol Hill Group Ministry, in Washington, D.C. Shirley's
Place is a community-based nonprofit organization that sponsors programs to address
poverty and alienation. Roof leaks were causing serious problems affecting the use
of the building and its ability to serve homeless families. When Randy Denchfield,
president of Denchfield Roofing, was asked to provide a proposal to fix the roof
system, he instead selected Shirley's Place to be part of Denchfield Roofing's commitment
of service to the community, and the company provided a new roof system. The roof
and broken structural beams were replaced, allowing the building to continue to
operate and serve its clients.
The Gold Circle Awards program annually honors NRCA members and affiliate organizations
from around the world. Recipients are recognized by their peers for significant
contributions to the roofing industry in one of five categories: workmanship, innovation,
service to the community, service to the industry and safety.
For more information about the Gold Circle Awards, contact Chrystine Hanus, NRCA's
executive assistant, at (847) 299-9070, Ext. 7522, or e-mail chanus@nrca.net.
