NRCA ELECTS ROBERT W. THERRIEN JR. PRESIDENT Las Vegas—Robert W. Therrien Jr., president of The Melanson Co. Inc., Keene, N.H., was elected 2008-09 president of the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) during NRCA's 121st Annual Convention held Feb. 19-23. On June 1, Therrien will begin his term as the highest-ranking officer of one of the U.S.'s oldest construction trade associations. Therrien served as NRCA's senior vice president from 2007-08 and held the office of vice president from 1995-97, 2003-04 and 2006-07. He also was a director from 1990-93, 1994-95, 1997-2000 and 2001-06. He has served as chairman of the Architectural Sheet Metal Committee, Manual Update Committee and Technical Operations Committee and has been involved with many other committees and task forces. Established in 1886, NRCA is one of the construction industry's oldest trade associations and the voice of professional roofing contractors worldwide. The association has more than 4,000 members from all 50 states and 54 countries and is affiliated with 105 local, state, regional and international roofing contractor associations. ###
