NRCA ANNOUNCES CHARLIE RAYMOND AWARD WINNERS
New OrleansDuring the National Roofing Contractors
Association's (NRCA's) 123rd Annual Convention Feb. 20-24, NRCA presented
its Charlie Raymond Award to Robert McNamara, president of F.J.A. Christiansen Roofing
Co. Inc., Milwaukee, a Tecta America company, and GAF Materials Corp., Wayne, N.J.
The Charlie Raymond Award is NRCA's most prestigious membership recruitment award.
The award annually honors a manufacturer and an individual for their extraordinary
efforts to recruit new members to NRCA. McNamara recruited five new members, and
GAF Materials recruited 15.
The Charlie Raymond Award is named for former NRCA President and J.A. Piper Award
winner Charlie Raymond, who first became chairman of NRCA's Membership Committee
when the association had only 328 members and was responsible for recruiting many
more. Raymond recruited the 1,000th member for NRCA in 1973.

NRCA's vice president of operations and chief of staff, at (800) 323-9545, ext.
