During the NRCA Member Luncheon yesterday, the annual NRCA Member Meeting and Elections
took place. Members voted to approve the 2009-10 slate of officers during the meeting.
The following were elected officers for 2009-10:
President: Robert McNamara, F.J.A. Christiansen Roofing Co. Inc., a Tecta
America company, Milwaukee
Senior vice president: T. Allen Lancaster Jr., Metalcrafts Inc., Savannah,
Ga.
Vice president, two years: Robert McReynolds, D & D Roofing Inc., Commerce
City, Colo. Richard M. Nugent, Nations Roof LLC, Bridgeport, Conn. John Plescia,
Star Roofing Inc., Phoenix
NRCA's events begin today at 6:45 a.m., when NRCA's Future Executives Institute
convenes at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center. The NRCA Luncheon, sponsored by
CNA Insurance Cos., will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Mandalay Bay Convention
Center. The luncheon will include the presentation of NRCA's J.A. Piper Award. NRCA's
Cocktail and Awards Reception will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Mandalay Bay
Convention Center. The reception will begin with the formal recognition of NRCA's
J.A. Piper Award winner and presentations of NRCA's Gold Circle Awards, The Roofing
Industry Alliance for Progress' (Alliance's) Most Valuable Player Awards, The Center
for Environmental Innovation in Roofing's Excellence in Design Award, the 2008 Charlie
Raymond Membership Awards and graduates of NRCA University's Future Executives Institute
class. In addition, the Alliance will hold its scholarship sweepstakes drawing and
a chance to win a 2009 BMW 128i during NRCA's Cocktail and Awards Reception.
Today, registration will be available from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the exhibit hall
will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Hanley Wood's educational conferences will be
held from 7:45 to 11:15 a.m.
