The 2011 International Roofing Expo® (IRE) begins today at the Las Vegas Convention
Center in Las Vegas. Registration booths will be open from 6:45 a.m. to 5 p.m. at
the convention center. Activities will begin at 7:45 a.m. with Hanley Wood's educational
conferences followed by the IRE keynote with Joe Theismann at 9:45 a.m. The exhibit
hall will open at 11 a.m., and the welcome party will be held from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
at Tao.
The Roofing Alliance for Progess held its reception at NRCA's 124th
Annual
Convention in Las Vegas.
Today's activities also include NRCA's International Relations Committee meeting
at 8 a.m.; NRCA's Roofing Council luncheon meeting at noon; and the National Roofing
Legal Resource Center board meeting at noon. Each of these events will be held at
the Las Vegas Convention Center. The Future Executives Institute will be in session
from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Encore. In addition, NRCA's Former Presidents dinner will
be held at Wynn/Lakeside Grill at 6:30 p.m.
Yesterday afternoon, participants played in ROOFPAC's golf tournament at Angel Park
Golf Course. The winner was Eric Fitzsimmons. Second place was Deryl Kratzer. Third
place went to Brian Dembowski. Kyle Eresman won closest to the pin.
