Come to San Antonio a day early, roll up your sleeves and give back to the local
community by participating in the Community Service Day's home renovation projects.
It will be an enjoyable and rewarding day!
Volunteers Needed
To help with the renovations, skilled volunteers are needed from a variety of construction
disciplines, including roofing, general contracting, project managing, home inspecting,
carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, masonry, plastering/drywall, HVAC
work, tile setting and others. Volunteers will work under the direction of a crew
chief, so we are seeking volunteers from amateur to professional. If you don't think
you are skilled at all, it's no problem — there will be plenty for you to do
to help!
Financial Donations
Monetary donations also are needed and are tax-deductible as allowed by law (all
donors will receive a receipt for tax purposes). Financial donations can be made
when you register for the IRE (attendees and exhibitors). (The tax ID number is:
35-2180064.)
Registration Fee
You may register for Community Service Day when you register for the show. There
is a $25 fee that includes lunch and transportation. All volunteers must be at least
18 years old and will be asked to sign a Waiver of Liability Form (not available
yet).
