2012 IRE will feature Sustainability Pavilion

The 2012 International Roofing Expo® (IRE) will launch the Sustainability Pavilion, a designated area on the show floor that will educate attendees regarding the benefits of using sustainable products, including renewable energy, solar, green/eco-friendly, photovoltaic, vegetative, roof-mounted wind turbines, day lighting, geothermal and other products.

"Sustainable products are a fast-growing segment of the roofing industry," says IRE Director Lindsay Roberts. "This pavilion will feature a collection of products and services to help roofing professionals meet the growing demand for sustainability in their operations."

Sponsored by Advanced Green Technologies, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., the Sustainability Pavilion exhibits and product showcase area will feature Advanced Green Technologies, Ameresco Solar, Asphalt Shingle Grinding Service, Cool Roof Rating Council, Colbond, EcoStar, KBI Flexi-Pave, Orion Energy Systems, Phase Change Energy Solutions, Schletter, and SunMizer Solar Roofing Systems, among others.

In addition, a two-day series of 30-minute product demonstrations will take place Feb. 22-23.

"The Sustainability Pavilion provides a great opportunity to understand how new technologies will shape our future," says Bill Good, executive vice president of NRCA, the show’s official sponsor. "I encourage all our members to see the latest products and learn from the educational demonstrations."

The Sustainability Pavilion is free of charge and included in all registration packages.
