BASF announces price increases
BASF Corp., Florham Park, N.J., has announced increases in its prices in the U.S. and Canada for various products used in the construction market.
The company will increase its prices for all Acronal® and Acronal Optive® all-acrylic latex products, Acronal® styrene-acrylic latex products and Basonal® multi-monomer latex products by 4 cents per wet pound. Butofan® medium solids styrene-butadiene latex products and Styrofan® and Sytronal® styrene-butadiene latex products will increase by 4 cents per dry pound. Price increases for all Butonal® styrene-butadiene high-solids latex products will be 5 cents per wet pound. The price increases will take effect April 3.
BASF attributed the price increases to higher raw material, freight and energy costs.
BASF develops new technologies for chemicals, plastics, performance products, agricultural products, fine chemicals, crude oil and natural gas.
