CNA offers tips for safe snow removal

In the wake of the recent snowstorm in the Northeast, CNA, Chicago, has made available some tips to protect against the risks of excessive snow buildup.

Snow accumulation quickly can reach critical limits, resulting in a partial or complete structural collapse. Snow loads also can cause deflection in support members sufficient enough to damage electrical conduits, natural or propane gas lines, and water or fluid piping, among other things.

CNA's tips will help you identify the hazards and take action to keep the risks under control.
