NRCA seeks labor donations for its disaster relief work

NRCA is seeking labor donations for its disaster relief work in the Gulf States. Crews are needed to work one- to two-week shifts to repair or replace roof systems damaged by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

Currently, NRCA has received about $300,000 in donations from its members for the National Roofing Foundation's Disaster Relief Fund. Contributions to the fund will be used exclusively to assist the victims of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. In addition, NRCA has received commitments for donations of roofing materials from several companies for planned rebuilding projects.

In addition to labor, monetary and material donations, NRCA also is accepting noncash gifts, such as donations of worker housing, meals, transportation and warehousing.

To donate to NRCA's Disaster Relief Fund, click here to download the donation pledge form. Contributions are tax-deductible, and donors will receive receipts for their gifts.

For more information about contributing to the fund, contact Jacki Golike, NRCA's associate executive director of operations, at (800) 323-9545, Ext. 7582, or e-mail jgolike@nrca.net.
