NRCA will hold free fall-protection classes throughout the U.S.
NRCA will hold its Roofing Industry Fall Protection from A to Z class free of charge in various U.S. cities through May 30.
Made available for free through an Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) grant extended to NRCA, the one-day class discusses fall-protection systems and current OSHA state-plan requirements. The class also features hands-on equipment demonstrations and techniques for self-rescue and relief-of-suspension trauma. Tom Shanahan, NRCA's associate executive director of risk management, and Harry Dietz, NRCA's director of risk management, are class instructors.
NRCA's Roofing Industry Fall Protection from A to Z classes will be held free of charge in the following cities:
March 14: Boston
March 20: Denver
March 28: New York
April 11: Miami
April 18: Charlotte, N.C.
May 16: Seattle
May 30: Phoenix
