The Alliance announces 2010 MVP Award winners

The Roofing Industry Alliance for Progress, a separate but related educational and research organization of NRCA, announced the winners of its 10th annual Most Valuable Player (MVP) Awards during NRCA's 123rd Annual Convention. Following are the 2010 winners:

Mark Hamm, crew manager for F.J.A. Christiansen Roofing Co. Inc., Milwaukee, a Tecta America company
Richard Heilinger, service specialist for GSM Roofing, Ephrata, Pa.
Donald Long, foreman for Steinrock Roofing & Sheet Metal Inc., Louisville, Ky.
Charles Lopes, service department foreman for Commercial Roofers Inc., Las Vegas
Luciano Perez, safety and compliance coordinator for KPost Co., Dallas
Don Ruxer, crane operator for Commercial Roofers
Janusz Wawrzenzyk, senior foreman at CentiMark Corp., King of Prussia, Pa.
Jonathan Wong, field supervisor for CentiMark, Bartlett, Tenn.

The Best of the Best Award winner also was announced during NRCA's 123rd Annual Convention. Richard Heilinger, service specialist for GSM Roofing, won the Best of the Best Award. Heilinger was named the best of the best based on his extraordinary contributions to the roofing industry.

The MVP Awards program and the Best of the Best Award special category recognize and honor outstanding roofing workers from various U.S. regions. The Best of the Best Award is sponsored by Professional Roofing and OMG Inc., Agawam, Mass. Winners for both awards are chosen based on their significant contributions to one or more of the following areas: outstanding on-the-job performance; attracting new roofing workers and helping retain existing ones; contributions to a team effort; community service and volunteerism; and other noteworthy contributions and activities. Award winners are chosen by a panel of roofing industry representatives.
