The Roofing Industry Alliance for Progress adds new members

Barr Roofing Co., Abilene, Texas, and National Roofing Partners, Dallas, have joined The Roofing Industry Alliance for Progress, which now has 128 active members.

The Alliance was established in 1996 within the National Roofing Foundation, a separate but related educational and research organization of NRCA, to address critical industry issues.

The Alliance is open to all roofing contractors and industry partners. Members of the organization are committed to securing the future excellence of the roofing industry. Alliance members have committed more than $10 million to fund projects such as a national survey of roofing workers; the NRCA Roof Application Training Program series; a study to examine what the industry will look like in 20 years; a study at Penn State University regarding business and contract strategies for solar roof systems; and support for Florida International University's Wall of Wind program, which is a full-scale destructive testing facility intended to better replicate roof performance during high-wind conditions.
