Speaker: Mark Graham, National Roofing Contractors Association, Rosemont, Ill.
As part of its commitment to green and sustainable safety concepts, the International Code Council is presenting a new set of green construction codes under its "IgCC: Safe and Sustainable by the Book" initiative. IgCC's goal is to provide model code language to establish baseline regulations for new and existing buildings related to energy conservation, water efficiency, building owner responsibilities, site impact, building waste, and materials and other considerations.
Mark Graham, NRCA's associate executive director of technical services, will discuss the following aspects of the IgCC:
- Who is involved
- Scope and applicability to the roofing industry
- Roofing-specific requirements
- How the roofing industry will comply
Mark Graham has been working in the roofing industry since 1984 and has been with NRCA since 1993. He is a member of the International Code Council and active in many industry-related and standards and testing organizations.
