Compensable travel pay remains the most misunderstood issue among roofing contractors. Particularly confusing is the overnight travel category. This 60 minute-webinar will discuss home-to-work travel, travel during a day's work, special one-day assignment travel and overnight travel.
Philip Siegel, partner with the law firm of Hendrick, Phillips, Salzman and Flatt, will present this webinar. Mr. Siegel will discuss real-life examples of when nonexempt employees must be paid for the time they spend traveling for work. He will also discuss whether compensable travel time can be paid at a lesser rate than working time and whether compensable travel time counts as hours worked for determining whether employees qualify for overtime pay.
