NRCA Webinar Recording: How the New OSHA Crane Standard Affects You (electronic file)
On Aug. 9, OSHA published a new standard, subpart CC, Cranes and Derricks in Construction. The new rule covers more than cranes—boom trucks and powered hoists also are addressed in specific provisions of the rule. Crane operator certification is a key provision of the new standard along with new rules relating to crane operations near power lines, signal person qualifications, inspections and qualified riggers. Many requirements of the new rule become effective Nov. 8, 2010.
This recording features NRCA's risk management expert Harry Dietz giving a one hour, informative webinar addressing all the information necessary to comply with the new standard, including a review of the new standard, the equipment it covers and personnel who may be affected by it, as well as how the new rule affects local crane licensing and certification laws.
