Harry Dietz

Harry joined NRCA in 2002. He is a graduate of DePaul University and John Marshall Law School in Chicago. Harry grew up in the roofing business. His grandfather started Dietz Roofing Co. in Chicago in the early 1920s, and his family operated the business until the 1970s. Harry has had a variety of construction-related work experience, worked in private law practice and reported on the area of foreign taxation for a business and legal publisher.

At NRCA, Harry’s responsibilities include serving as staff liaison to the Health and Safety Committee and Silica Task Force as well as updating and developing content for NRCA’s Safety Manual and other safety-related products. He is a member of the American Society of Safety Engineers, American National Standards Institute’s A-10 Construction Standards Committee and ASTM Skylight Human Impact Workgroup and regularly writes for Professional Roofing magazine. Harry is an authorized trainer for the 10- and 30-hour Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Cal/OSHA construction safety classes and teaches NRCA’s fall-protection training classes. He regularly presents at the International Roofing Expo and for other roofing industry groups. He also handles member inquiries on rules and regulations related to OSHA, the Environmental Protection Agency, the Department of Transportation and related state agencies that affect the roofing industry.
