Kent Schwickert is senior vice president of Tecta America Corp. Tecta America is a nation-wide commercial roofing
company with more than 60 locations.
Kent started his career in 1982 with Schwickert's of Mankato, Inc., a company founded in 1906 by George Schwickert. He
became the company's president in 1987.
In 2000, Schwickert's of Mankato, Inc. became a founding company of Tecta America. Since then, Kent has held many roles
within the corporation including operating unit president, director of vendor operations, and regional managing
president for the Northeast and Midwest regions.
He also serves on Tecta America's board of directors and is a current sitting member of its President's Council.
Kent previously served as an NRCA vice chairman from 2016-17 and was a member of NRCA's board of directors from
1999-02, 2003-04 and 2010-13.
In addition, Kent also served as chairman of NRCA's Education Resource Committee in 2003-04 and Workforce Solutions
Committee in 2015-16.
Throughout the years, Kent has been a member of many NRCA committees, including Business Leadership, Contractor
Management, Health and Safety, Membership and PAC Advisory, as well as the Communications Task Force, Future Executives
Institute (FEI), Insurance Board of Governors, National Roofing Legal Resource Center and the NRCA Retirement
Kent studied economics and finance at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis.
Schwickert's Tecta America of Mankato also is a member of The Roofing Industry Alliance for Progress.
