During the annual NRCA Member Meeting and Elections yesterday following IRE's keynote address, members voted to approve
the 2016-17 slate of officers.
The following were elected officers for 2016-17:
Chairman of the Board: Dennis Conway, Commercial Roofers Inc., Las Vegas Chairman of the Board-Elect: Jim Barr, Barr Roofing Co., Abilene, Texas Vice Chairman, one year: Alex Hernandez, Clark Roofing Co., Broadway, Ill. Vice Chairmen, two years: Tim Blue, Blue's Roofing Co., Milpitas, Calif.
Kent Schwickert, Schwickert's Tecta America of Mankato, Mankato, Minn.
Kyle Thomas, Thomas Roofing Co. Inc., Mobile, Ala.
NRCA will host a union breakfast program— "Securing the Future of Union ContractingWe Need You Now!" —at
the Orange County Convention Center from 7 to 9:15 a.m.; this program is for contractors only. In addition, NRCA's
International Relations Committee meeting will take place at 8 a.m.; The Roofing Industry Alliance for Progress'
Construction Management Student Competition will take place from 7:45 to 11:15 a.m.; and ROOFPAC, NRCA's political
action committee, will hold its silent auction today beginning at 11 a.m. at ROOFPAC's booth, No. 932; final bids are
due by 4 p.m. NRCA's Industry Awards Ceremony and Cocktail Reception will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Orange
County Convention Center. The reception will include recognition of NRCA's J.A. Piper Award winner and presentations of
NRCA's Gold Circle Awards, The Roofing Industry Alliance for Progress' Most Valuable Player Awards and Construction
Management Student Competition winners, 2015 Charlie Raymond Membership Awards and CNA/NRCA Community Involvement
Awards. ROOFPAC will host a reception from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at Red Coconut Club at Universal Orlando.
The NRCA member lounge will be open today from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Orange County Convention Center. NRCA's member
lounge is booth No. 841 and located next to NRCA's booth No. 939.
Today, registration for the 2016 International Roofing Expo® (IRE) will be available from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the
Orange County Convention Center, and the exhibit hall will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. IRE's educational conferences
will be held from 7:45 to 11:15 a.m. at the convention center.
